As the director of SOURCE, Garrick brings a unique background from farming and carpentry to strategic leadership in renewable energy advocacy. As the founding Director of the Climate and Clean Energy Polling Consortium and former Strategy and Planning Director for the Climate Action Campaign, he designs impactful advocacy campaigns that create conditions for successful utility-scale renewable energy projects.
His political expertise, developed through a decade of managing electoral campaigns and serving as a Political Advisor for EMILY's List, enables him to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics and build essential coalitions. In 2019, Garrick established a groundbreaking 501(c)4 communications organization in Wisconsin that transformed the state's supreme court, demonstrating his ability to drive systemic change.
A certified Executive Coach from Georgetown University's Institute for Transformational Leadership, Garrick strengthens advocacy groups and transforms local victories into gigawatts of clean power. His commitment to community development is exemplified by his role in establishing the George Washington Carver Food Enterprise Center in Virginia, reinforcing SOURCE's mission to ensure renewable energy projects deliver lasting value to rural communities. A Bucknell University graduate in Religious Studies, Garrick brings a holistic perspective informed by his diverse experiences.

Kelly Ferguson
Kelly Ferguson serves as Chief of Staff at SOURCE, orchestrating organizational strategy and operations while leveraging her communications expertise to advance the clean energy transition. Her background in public relations, social media management, and media buying provides a foundation for developing effective processes that strengthen SOURCE's mission to champion utility-scale renewable energy projects.
As Chief of Staff, Kelly ensures seamless coordination between SOURCE's leadership, campaign strategists, and external partners. She excels in developing organization-wide systems that enable SOURCE to unite advocacy groups, foundations, developers, and local champions in transforming America's energy landscape. By fostering transparency and teamwork, she empowers the organization to create conditions for successful clean energy development while delivering value to rural communities.
Kelly's experience with diverse clients has equipped her with the versatility needed to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics in renewable energy siting. Her storytelling abilities help SOURCE craft compelling narratives that resonate with communities nationwide, building lasting support for wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Kelly graduated cum laude from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in communications, focusing on public relations and journalism.

Madison Walsh
Maddie Walsh leads strategic initiatives and partnership development at SOURCE, helping to design and implement systems that strengthen community engagement and amplify the impact of renewable energy projects. She oversees cross-functional operations and reporting that ensure SOURCE delivers meaningful value to both project partners and local communities.
With over a decade of experience in the social impact sector, Maddie brings a multidisciplinary approach that blends strategy, operations, and communications. Prior to joining Bantam and SOURCE, she led strategy at a startup social impact agency focused on climate and clean energy, where she played a key role in the origination of the SOURCE program. Earlier in her career, she supported global agency leadership on internal strategy and communications, taught middle school English, coached educators, and co-founded a youth literacy initiative.
Maddie studied Economics and Peace & Conflict Studies at the College of the Holy Cross. She is driven by the belief that clean energy—when shaped by the people it’s meant to serve—can be a transformative force for equity, resilience, and local opportunity.

Kaytlin Gilbert
Kaytlin Gilbert designs strategic campaigns at SOURCE that build rural trust in renewable energy projects while ensuring these developments deliver lasting community benefits. Her background in strategic communication, policy, and advocacy is instrumental in accelerating America's clean energy transition through utility-scale projects.
Kaytlin has built her career fostering strong coalitions, collaborating with nonprofits, and navigating complex political landscapes with a bipartisan perspective. Her experience across healthcare, agriculture, and renewable energy gives her insights into diverse stakeholders involved in energy development. This perspective allows her to build advocacy campaigns that advance clean energy projects while building trust across the political spectrum.
Working with SOURCE's partners, Kaytlin provides strategic guidance for winning critical local siting battles while strengthening rural communities. Her understanding of political landscapes across Midwestern states enables her to connect diverse groups in spaces where partisanship often prevails. This approach aligns with SOURCE's commitment to transforming America's energy landscape while ensuring these projects deliver lasting value to local communities.

Jake Burns
Jake Burns partners with renewable energy developers and non-profit organizations at SOURCE to advance the deployment of solar, wind, and battery storage technologies across America. He provides strategic guidance for public engagement campaigns that win over communities and decision-makers, supporting SOURCE's mission to expand utility-scale renewable energy nationwide.
Drawing on more than a decade of experience organizing and managing electoral, issue-based, and policy advocacy campaigns, Jake applies strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and grassroots mobilization tactics to build social license for renewable energy development. His approach helps create conditions for successful clean energy projects while strengthening rural communities.
Jake's campaign victories span mayoral, gubernatorial, and US senatorial races, alongside issue advocacy supporting clean energy, tax fairness, and infrastructure investments. His experience with state legislative wins and international policy campaigns demonstrates his ability to navigate complex political landscapes—crucial for winning the local siting battles that SOURCE champions. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in American History and Political Science, Jake brings academic knowledge and practical experience to SOURCE's mission of transforming local victories into gigawatts of clean power.
